FasTest’s HPB Series Connectors Help Customer Double Production Output

Minneapolis, MN—April 2, 2018—FasTest, Inc., has partnered with a global aerospace tube manufacturer to streamline their leak testing process. The customer needed quick, leak-tight connections to proprietary formed tube profiles. They required that the connections be able to handle pressures up to 6000psi in a semi-automated leak testing setting.

The customer’s previous leak testing process involved wrench-tightening a fitting onto the tubes to create a leak-tight seal in preparation for the leak test. This undesirable process was very time consuming and imparted a tightening cycle to the fitting. In addition to being time consuming, the customer’s previous process was resulting in repetitive motion injuries.

FasTest Solution: High-Pressure, HPB Series Connectors

FasTest provided a set of custom HPB Series connectors that increased production output by 100% and eliminated damage to the test pieces. FasTest’s solution also improved safety throughout the leak testing process and reduced time per leak test by more than 20 minutes. Once the solution was implemented, FasTest also supplied the customer with FasTest Genuine Parts for future connector maintenance to maximize line up-time.

The customer chose FasTest because of their consistent ability to deliver on previous leak testing projects and their ability to provide connectors that were safe to use at high pressures.
