Challenge
Fill more cylinders on existing NF type C racks. Use of manual twist-on connectors increased cycle time, creating a bottleneck in production.

Solution
The FasTest engineering team worked directly with the customer to design a new GNFC connector family utilizing oxygen-compliant materials in the flow path, a rigid RPV pin, and a new flexible cable handle configuration that fit around the largest valve guards without interference in the tightly bunched cylinder fill racks.
Results
The new GNFC connectors from FasTest significantly reduced fill cycle time and eliminated the ergonomic safety hazard. Production efficiency increased, and the time saved connecting now allows time for additional production. The process for filling NF type C cylinders is now quick, painless, and safe. Additionally, the operators are quite happy with the new FasTest GNFC connectors’ robust feel, speed and ease of use, and the reduced wear and tear on operators’ wrists.
